Meet Janelle

Hey there, I'd love to share a little about me with you. I started off helping friends and family plan their weddings and events - I have always been that go-to-gal for this. After a few years planning events in the nonprofit sector, I decided I wanted to do this as my career. I had the pleasure of beginning my professional wedding planning career as a member of the Chancey Charm Weddings team in Atlanta.  My professional experience effectively connects with my 17 years of marriage and over 11 years of premarital mentoring through my church. I strongly believe that had it not been for the amazing resources and coaching I have received and learned over the years, my husband and I probably would not have been able to weather the storms that have tried to destroy our marriage. As an advocate of strong healthy marriages, I believe we become better people when we learn from the strengths and growth areas of our life partner.

In addition to coordinating a number of weddings, I have over 16 years in corporate-America settings with exemplary and award-winning performance in hotel/accommodation management, corporate catering management, research marketing, customer service, and project management roles. Over a course of three years, I had the privilege of providing event planning services in the nonprofit sector. I am a certified Event Planner with Emory University, and I couple that with Project Management core class certification, also from Emory University. I also hold a certificate in Interior Design from the New York Institute of Art and Design.

My rambunctious twin boys (one with special needs) keep me strong on my Mom-game. Volunteering with a local non-profit organization helps keep me grounded and appreciative. A well thought-out checklist and spreadsheets give me all the smiles. Crafting and creating with my hands is a love since I was a little girl. You can’t help but notice I’m energetic - always moving and moving with purpose, and good gym-sesh is always good for the soul, not just the bod. I love a medium-bodied cigar, sticking my feet in the sand, and the peacefulness of a night rain. A tear-inducing, stomach-cramping belly laugh is always a good way to spend an afternoon with friends. And after we check on our sleeping boys, a long hug with my love in the darkness of our kitchen before we retreat to our bedroom is always a good way to end the night.

I can’t wait to meet the both of you and see the love you have for each other. I would be honored to help you plan your wedding, and it would be an utmost privilege to be able to share with you some things I’ve learned along the way about marriage. I hope that you can look back at your wedding day and find it was the day you loved each other the least. Let’s walk this path together and go beyond the “I do.”

I love meeting with both the Bride and the Groom.
It would be an honor and a privilege to share with you why I think our unique approach goes beyond the I "do".
